What do we aim at?

Our group aims at a series of concrete, specific and decisive objectives at the moment, like:

  • to detect problems faced by professionals, due to fragmented and not mutually connected information systems;
  • to identify and debate about the necessary measures to improve gathering information systems and trends forecasting;
  • improve the development of common methodologies and standards to classify data and information by public and private organizations;
  • to increase the awareness about the potential of new technologies and ICT tools in setting up forecasting tools and operational methods.

What issues are we facing?

Priority issues we intend to deal within this group are as follows:

analyzing the evolution of policies and governance as far as information systems within all partners countries, in order to highlight the appropriate measures;

examine the strengths on which to develop a strategy for better forecasting systems in the partner countries (Italian, Bulgarian, Lithuanian and German), also thanks to the increased accessibility of open source technologies;

exploring solutions and practices from other European countries.

What are the benefits for you?

By participating in the activities of the thematic workshop, you will have greater knowledge of the issues and of the European and international undertaken initiatives to address the problem of heterogeneity of the collected data and of the separation between data collection and forecasting trends systems as well. You will learn how to develop a strategy for the enhancement of prediction systems also thanks to easy to access, ICT open source technologies.

How can you get involved?

To contribute to the activities you can inform us with the latest news, share relevant documents, draw the group’s attention to important issues, by helping us in identifying the key decision making factors and in preparing, together with us, new and effective prediction strategies.
