What do we aim at?

The main objectives that we aim at within this thematic workshop are the following:

to foster a good framework for the development of a network working in the entrepreneurship for social services field, according to a common methodology;

to examine the social service sector from a multidisciplinary perspective, also to analyze the well-functioning of the methodology and the measures applied in managing this field;

to identify solutions and support innovative forms of financing the sector, by exchanging information and also good and relevant practices for the funding of the social service sector;

to find opportunities that will generate resources to support innovative social services;

to recognize the weaknesses of the existing social service system and find possible solutions for its problems.

What issues are we facing?

Within our thematic workshop, we wish to stimulate discussions between social servants, social operators, policy makers and private sector professionals who deal with the social sector services and work in different areas and with different methods of intervention for the management of a wide spectrum of social services offer. This debate will be further enhanced by focusing on differentiation elements and various work approaches in social field.

An important objective of the thematic workshop will be also to analyze possible strategies for the identification of innovative forms of financing, using and exchanging the Italian, Bulgarian, German and Lithuanian operators’ best practices, which could be adapted and replicated in the different European contexts.

What are the benefits for you?

You can find information, you can discuss important topics for the managing of your work and, last but not least, can disseminate and share results. The group aims to become a common workspace, a virtual space, in which we can change opinions, resources and useful materials. Moreover, we aim to offer an overview of the best practices and innovative measures implemented in Italy, Germany, Bulgaria and Lithuania in recent years, and also a classification of the types of funding  interventions and methodologies developed.

How can you get involved?

The workshop aims to be a resource and a discussion space for experts working in social services wide offer, and also to be an opportunity to learn for the people that are already involved in these services, but who want to understand how to improve the system they work for. The workshop encourages sharing different points of view and experience-based discussions are being welcomed.

Who are we?

Germana Di Falco is an independent researcher on the field of Science of Finance, with more than ten years of experience in working directly within the consultancy and academic world in the sector of European and international funding. Actively involved in the analysis of the policies and intervention measures, of functionality and efficiency of the European social services.
